A horse places its back to the breeze as snow once again returns to the Peace Country after a week or more of melting. Farmers need more snow to come and melt slowly, unfortunately a layer of ice on the ground from previous melts will result in a lot of moisture running away instead of soaking into the ground to replenish low moisture levels.
