Horses burst out of the starting gate Saturday, July 11 at the JDA Racetrack at Evergreen Park during the first horse race of the 2020 season which included new regulations to try to keep patrons staff and participants from getting infected with Covid 19. Horse racing is one of the first of the professional sports to restart after covid lockdowns across North America as with some planning social distancing and reduced contact can be maintained including in some cases running races in front of empty stands.
