Caroline Gathoni, who lives with AIDS, is a beneficiary of the GOH program from the ACC&S church in Kenya, a CBM partner for two years. She receives a transportation allowance to help her access anti-retroviral medications. Her husband works in their rural community while she and her three children live in Nairobi so she can access medical care for her oldest girl who is being treated for a chronic disease. The young girl's tongue swelled up to a size that filled her mouth and protruded out. She had to have part of it removed and currently has a tracheotomy to enable her to breathe. Once the doctors think it is safe to do so they will remove the tube.
