An adult literacy class, which is geared mostly to woman but has several men participants, is a year long and graduates are given a certificate and kinyrwandan bible so they can continue to practise the skills they learned. Some of the participants will eventually go back to primary school to continue their education while others take on leadership roles in their community because of their newly acquired literacy skills. Students who graduate are given a Bible in their own language and a certificate.
